Vajra Box was founded in 2025 by a team of founders with a deep passion to understand the diamond manufacturing process from the ground up — going to extraordinary lengths to learn every skill and scope the complete end-to-end journey: from the initial seeding process through growth, cutting, polishing, grading, and all the way to the finished product in the hands of the customer. Rooted in Surat — the world's diamond cutting and polishing capital — this commitment to mastering every facet of the craft led them to reimagine what a truly ethical diamond company could be.
Lab-grown diamond technology had matured to the point where CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) and HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) processes could produce stones indistinguishable from the finest mined diamonds — certified by the same institutions, graded by the same standards.
The name Vajra — Sanskrit for "diamond" and "thunderbolt" — embodies our dual identity: the timeless beauty of a diamond and the bold innovation of our approach. The "Box" speaks to the premium, gift-ready experience we promise every customer, wherever they are in the world.
Vajra Box has grown from a vision into a global operation connecting the world's diamond production centres — Surat, Antwerp, London's Hatton Garden, New York's Diamond District, Paris, and Melbourne's CBD. Every diamond we sell is certified, traceable, and priced honestly — no hidden margins, no grey-market sourcing.
